Pioneer Showcases New DVD Players at National Association of Broadcasters 2004

DVD-V5000 offers industrial strength features at great price point

A new, full-featured but low-cost industrial DVD player designed for professional applications was introduced today at the National Association of Broadcasters Conference by Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc., a leader in video and optical disc technology.

The DVD-V5000, to be priced between $350-$400 (MSRP), is equipped with an RS-232C terminal that enables connection to a touch screen or custom control device for many professional applications. It offers numerous other features that make it ideal in meeting the demands of DVD professionals, including: 

  • Frame Accurate Search
  • DVD Barcode Control
  • Power On Start
  • NV-RAM to Store and Execute Internal Command Stacks
  • Progressive Scan
  • Component, Composite and S-Video connectors

The DVD-V5000 is equipped with a Brushless Motor designed for use in busy environments, making it ideally suited to meet the rigorous demands of point of information applications as well as training and corporate use. The DVD-V5000 supports play back of both NTSC and PAL DVD-Video discs.
